La Guardia Civil reparte chalecos reflectantes para peatones

As part of the Civil Guard's ongoing efforts to reduce road fatalities , various units within the Galician Traffic Sector are distributing reflective vests to pedestrians. During this campaign, officers will carry the vests in their patrol cars and will distribute them in cases where they see a potential risk of being run over.

It will be an integral part of their daily work, and their main objective will be to ensure that pedestrians are visible both at night and during low-visibility times. It's worth remembering that the distance at which a driver detects the presence of a pedestrian is 20 meters when driving without this device, increasing to 150 meters when driving with it on.

At Help Flash, we remind you that wearing a vest is mandatory for both pedestrians on the road and drivers who get out of their vehicles without one. Failure to do so, in addition to the significant risk, can result in fines of between €80 and €200. Your life is the most important thing.
