Committed from day one to the 2030 SDGs

Comprometidos desde el primer día con los ODS 2030
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), successors to the Millennium Development Goals, presented in 2000 and focused exclusively on social issues, were born with the idea of involving as many citizens and organizations as possible in many other areas of coexistence: economic growth, environmental protection, social inclusion, and so on. In fact, before they were defined as SDG 2030, many organizations and companies had been working for years to make these goals a reality. At Help Flash, we're also doing our part to achieve this.

Development goals: necessary for self-interest

The 2030 SDGs are global goals. Targets to be applied in our city and also around the world. Some may seem more "necessary" than others, but what's truly important is the global vision. One of its greatest strengths is that each goal is translated into concrete targets. For example, Goal 3, " Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all, at all ages ," is broken down into tangible proposals that we can all commit to: " By 2030, reduce the global maternal mortality ratio to less than 70 per 100,000 live births ." Another example: " Halve the number of deaths and injuries caused by road traffic accidents worldwide." Having said that, you can already imagine our close and direct relationship with the Development Goals, but before discussing it, we want to list the full SDGs for 2030.

1 7 objectives, one goal

  • End poverty in all its forms everywhere.
  • End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture.
  • Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
  • Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
  • Achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls
  • Ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
  • Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all.
  • Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.
  • Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation.
  • Reduce inequality within and between countries.
  • Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.
  • Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
  • Take urgent action to combat climate change and its effects (taking note of the agreements reached within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change).
  • Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.
  • Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation and halt the loss of biological diversity.
  • Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels.
  • Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.

Help Flash and the 2030 SDGs

Help Flash was born when we realized that some accident-prevention measures could actually lead to more accidents. Accidents caused by exiting a car in the event of a breakdown or accident are now seen as a major road safety issue , but they weren't so important when Jorge Torre came up with the idea of creating the first V16 beacons . We could say that at that moment, we became pioneers in signaling solutions for road breakdowns or accidents. And that would be true, but "pioneering" isn't just an adjective; it's the definition of an attitude. An attitude from which many more ideas have emerged: for example, seeking common ground between the different SDGs, such as health and equality . At Help Flash, we'll continue to share new ideas we're turning into reality to achieve our goal of reducing traffic accidents worldwide.
