Did you know that in Spain, since 2021, Help Flash has not legally replaced the signal triangle?
It's true. Through Royal Decree 159/2021 of July 2021, Help Flash is, officially, a substitute for the signaling triangle. More, thanks to this same law, it has been established that this device (in a new connected configuration) will become mandatory in Spain from 2026.
Given the proven usefulness of the device to reduce accidents on the road , a recent legislative change in Spain, discussions are underway with the Portuguese authorities as to whether the V16 signaller could soon be enshrined in the road code as an official signaling device.
